Active area 897 was still visible but each of the spots in it seem to have faded a little when compared to yesterday. I could count 5 spots in the area (which is actually 1 up on yesterday — probably helped by better conditions today). The main spot in area 898 still looked crisp and strong with a very dark umbra and quite a thick penumbra. I could still see a second spot in the area which was still much smaller and fainter than the main one. |
