Wind Speed: 6.3mph ...
Wind Dir: South West ...
Pressure: 1014.2hPa ...
Notes:

The day had been overcast until mid afternoon and then it started to clear. As conditions improved I used a brief clear spell to take the Solarscope out to do a quick sunspot count.

Sun

From: 2006-05-27 14:40 UT
To: 2006-05-27 14:45 UT

I could see a single spot in active area 886 (similar to yesterday) and could also see two spots, near the limb of the Sun, in new active area 886. This area looked like it would be disappearing over the limb in the next day or so.

While I couldn't see any spots anywhere else on the Sun I could detect mottling where active areas 885 and 887 were reported as being located.
