For the first time since November last year an active area was visible on the Sun. I could see three sunspots in active area 1019. Two of them were very dark while the third was fainter. None of them were very large. No real detail was visible. |

Active area 1019 still visible with three sunspots. Looked pretty much the same as yesterday with two of the spots looking darker than the third but with none of them being large or having any obvious detail. |

New active area 1023 was visible with two spots. Both the spots were very small and very faint and rather far apart. No detail was noticeable. |
