After another long period of seeing no activity on the Sun I finally had some sunspots visible. Two new active areas were visible: 987 and 988.

Area 987 had three small spots with no real detail visible.

Area 988 had two spots. One was quite small but the other appeared to be of a reasonable size and had an obvious penumbra.

The Sun had 3 active areas were visible today:

Area 987 had 5 spots visible. Two of them had a visible penumbra.

Area 988 had 3 spots visible. Two of them were sharing a common penumbra.

New area 989 had 2 small spots visible.

Area 987 had 2 spots visible. Both with a dark umbra and sharing a common penumbra.

Area 988 had 1 spot visible. Very small and faint.
